Benjamin Netanyahu gifts John Fetterman a silver pager during Israel visit

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Senator John Fetterman and his wife Gisele on Wednesday in Jerusalem, and was presented to the Pennsylvania Democrats to a silver pager inspired by last year's attacks on Hezbollah terrorists.

“What can you give to a man who has everything? Why not give him a beeple?” Netanyahu said he presented Fetterman with the same model pager that was used in a secret surgery.

“This is a silver-plated beeper. A real beeper is like 1/10 weight. It's nothing, but it changes history,” explained the Israeli Prime Minister.

Israel thwarted the pockets of thousands of people used by Hezbollah operatives across Lebanon last September, and according to the Israeli era it suddenly exploded virtually simultaneously, killing more than 30 people and injuring more than 3,400 people.

His distinctive appearance – Carhartt's hoodies and shorts – Fetterman seemed uplifted to accept the gift.

“You know, when that story broke, I said, 'Oh, I love it. I love it.'”

Last month, Netanyahu presented President Trump with a gold plated version of the same pager when he visited the White House.

Fetterman, a stubborn Israeli supporter and a solid supporter of military operations against terrorist groups Hamas and Hezbollah, visited the Jewish state as Israeli forces resumed attacks in the Gaza Strip following a two-month ceasefire.

“Hamas doesn't want peace,” the senator wrote to X on Tuesday. “I'm forcing myself to be 100% standing in Israel and demanding the release of all the remaining hostages.”

“We'll send this from Israel,” Fetterman pointed out.

The Prime Minister's wife Sarah also attended the gathering and saw him chatting with Gisele and the senator in a footage released by Netanyahu's office.

The Prime Minister's Office described the meeting as “warm and friendly.”

“The Prime Minister and his wife thanked Senator Fetterman and his wife for their consistent support of Israel since the outbreak of the war,” Netanyahu's office said in a statement.

Fetterman surprised Netanyahu with a framed newspaper article about the 1986 dedication of the Philadelphia Memorial to the Prime Minister's late brother Jonathan.

Jonathan was killed during the Israeli military operation on July 4, 1976, attempting to free more than 100 Jewish hostages detained by terrorist Uganda.

The hostages were on a hijacked Air France flight from Athens to Tel Aviv, which was transported to Uganda by terrorists.

Jonathan and three hostages were killed in the attack, but 102 hostages were saved.

Netanyahu's office said the prime minister was “moved” by the gift.
