Biden said in a statement that he was “outraged and heartbroken” by their deaths and said Israel was not doing enough to protect civilians.

“The IDF is conducting a prompt and transparent investigation and will make its findings public,” Prime Minister Netanyahu said. “Israel is fully committed to ensuring that humanitarian aid reaches civilians in the Gaza Strip and will do everything in its power to prevent such tragedies from occurring in the future,” he said.
