The consistently blue voting district that saved Biden’s victory in the 2020 election appears to be moving to the right, and the tide could turn this November, according to one South Chicago native.

Quenton Jordan, vice president of the Black Conservative Coalition, took to the streets of the Windy City earlier this month to speak with members of the black community and gauge support for the two candidates likely to face off in this November’s general election. – President Biden and former President Trump.

Regarding the on-the-street interviews, Jordan told Fox News Digital that the overwhelming response he received from Black voters suggests a growing dissatisfaction with the current administration and the Democratic Party as a whole.

“They didn’t see Democrats except during elections, and they felt like Trump was a visible presence in their community, even though he might not be directly there. He was there every day. “He’s been on the news, he’s been giving interviews, he’s answering tough questions, but they just don’t see it in Biden,” he said.

“And I don’t think so [frustration is isolated] “We’re here in Chicago because we’ve traveled all over the country and had these kinds of conversations, whether it’s the video style we’ve done or the community focus groups we’ve done,” he added.

Some polls show that dissatisfaction persists even among blacks. Mr. Jordan said Mr. Trump appears to have an advantage over Mr. Biden because he is targeting two key areas among black voters. The other affects the entire community his resources.

“Many of them mentioned economic factors, like they just felt more financially secure under the Trump administration, like parents having to go grocery shopping for more kids. “I cited this as a reason,” he said.

“They also mentioned things like gas prices and feeling safer overall. Gas prices are lower, food prices are lower.” [under Trump]As a result, they felt like they had more money in their pockets because they didn’t have to spend as much on everyday activities like commuting. ”

What other factors? The ongoing immigration crisis is roiling major U.S. cities, including Chicago.

“Many stakeholders expressed safety concerns. They didn’t feel safe having so many people crowding into their neighborhoods. In many cases, it wasn’t just cultural differences. We felt as if they were just like us.” Being undocumented only adds to the overall uncertainty in terms of how safe they will be within the community. . ”

Jordan said the overwhelming majority of voters support Trump, but that doesn’t mean Biden supporters are completely absent from the conversation.

These Biden supporters were actually older voters who had consistently sided with Democrats for years, he said. The other was a white passerby who heard the discussion and decided to get his opinion.

“There was a guy who didn’t want to be on camera and he said he doesn’t support Trump, he supports Biden because Trump is just a racist. Amazingly, he did.” We interviewed him that day. Because I was the only white person, I couldn’t talk to anyone. [else] They came out and said they felt like Trump was a racist or something like that. ”

Jordan himself has spoken out about his efforts to fund historically black colleges and universities, his efforts to enact criminal justice reform, and what he believes are overall empty promises from Democrats. and believe that Trump has done a better job for the black community than Biden.

“Democrats are not doing themselves very justice because they spent the entire campaign period making promises to the black community. They pandered and they [the Democratic Party] “One of the main reasons I chose her as vice president was because she was a Black woman,” he said.

“Most people in the Black community can’t name two or three things that they’ve done for their community during their time in office. So it’s a combination of these factors that has led us to… I think it’s going to lead to an outcome similar to what we’re going to see in November for the Republican Party and Donald Trump.”
