Biden says he’ll sign foreign aid bill Wednesday after Senate passage

President Biden praised the Senate after it passed a $95 billion emergency foreign aid bill and said he would sign the bill at the White House on Wednesday.

“I want to thank Leader Schumer, Leader McConnell, and all the bipartisan members of the Senate who voted in favor of this bill,” Biden said. “This important bill will make our country and the world even safer by helping our friends defend against terrorists like Hamas and tyrants like Putin.”

The White House has been urging lawmakers for months to approve additional aid, particularly for Ukraine to fight Russian aggression, but some conservative Republicans opposed additional aid to Kiev.
