Border czar Homan optimistic but firm ahead of alleged second meeting with NYC Mayor Adams

Borderland Tom Homan has been discussing the illegal immigration crisis, claiming he will meet with Democrat New York City Mayor Eric Adams later this week, and he will find a common ground for the two to find a common ground. He appears to be careful and optimistic.

On Tuesday, Homan joined John Catsimatidis and Rita Cosby on the “Cats & Cosby Show” on WABC 770 AM, revealing details of the upcoming meeting. Homan said he plans to be in New York again Thursday to talk to Adams about how local and federal law enforcement could help arrest dangerous illegal aliens in the area.

“We don't want his officers to come to an agreement that will help my officers get rid of these public safety threats, especially the other alien gangs that are wreaking havoc in Tren de Aragua and New York. I'm here,” Homan told the radio host.

“He's here tackling illegal public safety threats and helping to find these missing children.”

“I hope to return to DC on Thursday night with a big agreement.”

Homan and Adams met in December to discuss immigration, and then Homan, despite intense opposition from other Democrats, made an understanding of the issue and an appetite for working with federal agents. He praised Adams.

“He got it, and today, as mayor of New York City, he proved that he is more concerned with public safety than politics,” Homan said at the time.

“I think New York City is safer,” Homan added. “I think New York City is trying to send a strong message.”

Homan seems certain that Adams will continue to be supportive at this second meeting, but he warned that nothing has been set up yet.

“I'm there on Thursday to meet the mayor, either he's coming to the table or we're walking around him,” Homan said. New York Post.

“I hope to return to DC on Thursday night with a big agreement.”

The mayor's office refused to confirm the suspicions of a second meeting between Adams and Homan, but spokesman Kaila Mamelak has long supported Adams' removal of illegal criminal immigrants from New York. He emphasized that.

“The mayor has also made it clear that he would like to work with the new federal government, not with a war with them, to improve the lives of New Yorkers,” Mamelak said. “The job involves violent criminals who have wreaked havoc on our streets and are guaranteed to leave our city after being convicted of a crime and sentenced to prison. It involves chasing.”

The alleged meeting comes days after the Justice Department moved under President Donald Trump to dismiss the charges against Adams under the Biden administration.

Trump has shown sympathy with Adams as a victim of his apparent political law fellow, but critics say he and Adams are likely to be reconsidered after the NYC mayoral election later this year. It suggests that they are in politics as well.

“It certainly sounds like President Trump is holding the mayor hostage,” Al Sharpton said in a statement Monday.

For now, Adams is facing a tough reelection race. Federal accusations aside, Famous Democrat NYC Director Brad Lander and state Sen. Zellner Miley have already started raising hundreds of thousands, or even more than $1 million, to bring Adams to legal struggles and his relationship with Trump. It's built.

Former Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who resigned from office following allegations of sexual misconduct and loss of COVID deaths by nurses, has also been mentioned as a candidate.

a Recent polls If he jumps in and decides to beat Adams by 31% to 12%, Cuomo has shown he will leave the competition in the dust. However, his lead almost evaporated after respondents reminded him of his scandal-plagued tenure as governor.
