Border Patrol Union rips Biden over border crisis: ‘You OWN this catastrophic disaster’

The National Border Patrol Council on Monday had harsh words for President Biden, calling him a “coward” for refusing to take responsibility for his handling of the ongoing border crisis.

The Border Patrol union condemned the president in a post on I wrote.

“You created it. You nurtured it. You encouraged it. You promoted it. It’s all yours,” the NBPC wrote. “Don’t run away now like a coward. Sign this, those BP agents you threw under the bus.”

The post comes after a Senate agreement on border security measures collapsed earlier this month after Republicans withdrew support and rejected a compromise linking the bill to aid to Ukraine.

Mr. Biden and the Democratic Party accused the Republican Party of bowing down to former President Donald Trump, the Republican’s potential opponent in the 2024 presidential election, after he signaled his opposition. The White House also included support for the border agreement from the Border Security Alliance.

Meanwhile, Biden’s hands are tied when it comes to the border, and he has repeatedly said he intends to shut it down if given the authority by Congress. Critics counter that the president already has that ability and that he is simply refusing to enforce the law.

Last month, the U.S. Supreme Court sided with the Biden administration, allowing Border Patrol agents to cut razor wire that Texas had installed along its border with Mexico to stop illegal immigrants from entering the country.

The ruling came after Texas restricted U.S. Border Patrol access to the riverside area known as Shelby Park, accusing the Biden administration of not having strong enough border crossings.

The Biden administration has had a rocky relationship with Border Patrol agents since taking office. In his first year in office, the president accused officials of “tying up” migrants in the Del Rio border clash and promised to “pay,” a statement he never corrected or apologized for. .

The September 2021 incident in question occurred as Border Patrol was dealing with a surge of more than 10,000 migrants gathered under the bridge.

Photos were leaked that some Democrats and media commentators incorrectly interpreted as showing agents using whips or flogging migrants trying to cross the river. In fact, the agent was using a split rein to control the horse.
