Nearly two years after a trip to Africa changed everything, Brandi Glanville decided to fight for her life. “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” The star is currently suffering from what doctors have suggested is a parasite on her face.
After visiting countless doctors, Granville, 52, spent more than $70,000 trying to find the answer to a medical mystery that consumed her daily experience and disfigured her face.
Glanville has recently found some solace in the form of CellSound therapy, which improves blood and lymphatic drainage, and has been in touch with fellow reality star Dr. Terry Dubrow.

Glanville exclusively told Fox News Digital that no one knows the real cause of her disfigured face, but doctors have suggested that “it could be a parasite, but we're not sure.” He said he was there.
Two years ago, Granville returned from Africa and began experiencing symptoms of depression. After five months, she began to lose the ability to speak and found her speech slurred.
After a stressful move in October 2023, she collapsed at home and was hospitalized.
“My whole face was swollen, my throat was closing up, and my son called 911,” Glanville said. “I was hospitalized for several days and they told me it was stress-induced angioedema, but I couldn't believe it.”
According to the Mayo Clinic, angioedema is “an urticaria-like reaction that affects the deeper layers of the skin. It can occur at the same time as hives or on its own.” Her symptoms remained and even worsened. Granville wasn't convinced that angioedema was the problem, so she sought answers and put her health first.

“My whole face was swollen, my throat was closing up, and my son called 911. I went to the hospital for a few days, and they told me it was stress-induced angioedema, but I couldn't believe it.”
“I went and found the best of the best,” Glanville told FOX News Digital. “I went to an immunologist, a radiologist, a rheumatologist, a dermatologist…I went to every 'specialist' and no one knows what's wrong. They said it could be a parasite. , but it's not, of course. “
The former model, who has been unable to work since a mysterious illness started affecting her life, said she has nearly emptied her savings account in her search for answers. Her mental health has also taken a huge toll, and she admitted that her outlook on life has become “very harsh” at times.
“I had to figure out my purpose again. I was scared of not being able to pay my rent and not be able to do all the things I needed to do,” Glanville admitted. “So this is a really scary time.”

Glanville is finding hope in the form of treatment, but Dr. Terry Dubrow has offered to treat her, but says her facial problems are a “ticking time bomb.”

Dubrow, who works with her Botched co-star Paul Nassif, said Brandi needs a proper diagnosis.
“Surgical intervention will probably be necessary to take pieces of tissue and figure out what's going on,” he said.
Glanville co-signed Dubrow's offer in a message shared with X, saying she was willing to work with her former “Real Housewives” co-star.
“I appreciate all the help I can get,” she said. “We've stayed in touch and will appreciate all the love.”
“All the fillers that were in my face have dissolved,” Glanville said, referring to online chatter about possible past problems with injectables.
Now, the former reality star remains optimistic about the future for her two sons. Ex-husband Eddie Cibrian.
