Breitbart Surpasses Traditional Media in Traffic Because of Public Trust

Matthew Boyle appeared on CSPAN’s Washington Journal on Sunday, stating that Breitbart News has surpassed social media traffic counts compared to major traditional news sites.

He expressed confidence in the outlet’s view as a trustworthy news source that covers stories overlooked by others.

Boyle remarked, “Trust in the media is in crisis in this country. We’re equipped to address this. That’s what Breitbart is doing, covering a team of around 80 people that other media outlets aren’t.”

He added, “Recently, our team analyzed the data from the last month. We noted that we had over a million more interactions than the New York Times, outperforming nearly every media outlet in the nation. Why does this happen? I want to see success for those who value conservative ideas, and we plan to present the truth.”

“There are significant problems in this industry. If we believe in truth-telling, journalistic integrity, and holding people accountable, then our industry needs support. We are part of the solution, I argue.”
