Sporer said it's been a “long journey” for Californians, expressing the power of meeting people where they are in pain.
“The first thing we do is not say anything. We just meet people where they are,” the pastor said. “There are not many words to say. For many people, they have lost everything. There are people in our church who have survived with only what they can carry. There is so much sadness, so much shock. , the first thing we want to do is sit down with people and pray and remind them that we believe in a resurrected God.”

“It's really beautiful to see churches and pastors coming together and saying we are one in this, one church,” Sporer said.
