California school settles with student JA Ameduri accused of wearing ‘blackface’ at football game

In October 2023, a California middle school student who is allegedly wearing a “black face” to football games was stolen in a village with the school after saying that he simply wears eye black, a common practice in many sports.

Daniel Ameduri, on behalf of her son JA, sued Muleland Middle School in La Jolla, California, on October 13, 2023, resulting in a two-day suspension and was banned from participating in district sporting events.

“Blackface's false allegations regarding JA's permanent school records may have plagued him for decades and affected both. His education And Karin Sweigart, JA's lawyer and advisor to Dhillon Law Group, said in a statement from Fox News Digital.

The court approved the settlement on February 24th, repealing the JA's two-day suspension forever.

As part of the contract, district officials and employees have not mentioned the suspension of communications with others.

“It's reassuring that the district has finally fixed this fraud,” Swegart added. “Students must fight to clear their names over unfounded accusations. That's why organizations like the Center for American Freedom exist, ensuring fairness and protecting fundamental rights.”

JA, now a freshman in high school, was in the eighth grade when the incident occurred.

He joined Fox & Friends with his father on January 17, 2024, and said it was not normal what happened.

“I used to go to a lot of soccer games when I lived in Texas. I used to play football. If one of my kids brought it, I would dress it up,” he said.

JA's father said he was “shocked” a few days after his son was called to the principal's office and was subsequently suspended.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, Mark Trammell of the American Liberty Executive Director Center said: “We are very proud of JA and his family. When students and parents awaken nonsense at school, they win. Let's make JA's victory a lesson to students and parents everywhere.”
