Chaos ensues on ‘The View’ as co-host dares to encourage introspection over Harris’ brutal defeat

Since Donald Trump won the 2024 presidential election on Tuesday, “The View” committee has struggled to come to terms with the Democratic Party's stinging defeat.

above Fridayunexpected host Sarah Haines attempted to provide the panel with an explanation for how Trump secured a landslide victory. However, her insight was met with resistance from other co-hosts.

“They voted for him because they needed help with their daily lives.”

Haines himself is certainly not a fan of Trump. accused The president-elect believes that “facts are arbitrary” and stirs up “fear and hatred every time he opens his mouth.”

Earlier this week, Ms Haynes called for regulation of social media sites to combat what she believes is misinformation, Blaze News previously reported.

But on Friday, Haines shared a different message, encouraging her co-hosts to be introspective about the loss of Vice President Kamala Harris.

She criticized the Democratic Party's message as “condescending.”

“The way the left speaks to voters is condescending, and it really is,” she said. “It’s a message of what’s wrong with America: uneducated, stupid.”

Co-host Sunny Hostin countered, “What's wrong with America?”

“What I'm saying is, I don't blame Joe Biden. I don't blame Kamala Harris. Go back all you want. I blame the messaging within the Democratic Party,” Haines said. he said.

“You don't blame the Republicans at all?” Hostin snapped.

“Can I finish my opinion?” Haines added that he “obviously” has a problem with the Republican Party and Trump. “The bigger question is, yeah, Sonny, why did they vote for him?”

Hostin argued that it is Trump supporters who need to do some self-reflection.

“No, you need to introspect!” Haynes replied. “If we voted for Kamala Harris, we need to say, 'What didn't resonate with voters?'” Do you know what didn't resonate with voters? When they said we weren't safe and the left was focused on defunding the police and bail reform. ”

“When we were focused on changing the school's name, some people said, 'Students are destroying the university.' I paid for it. I sent them there. They can't learn,' and everyone apologized for it and wanted nothing to do with it,” Haynes continued. “They also denied that there was a crisis at the border and kept saying, 'No, no, no, we're fine.'”

Joy Behar interrupted to say that Democrats support the so-called border bill.

“What I want to say is that they [the voters] Scream, scream, scream. They didn't vote for him because he's a racist or a misogynist. They voted for him because they needed help with their daily lives,” Haynes concluded.

Ms. Haines was repeatedly interrupted during her speech by Mr. Hostin and Mr. Behar.

Hostin insisted that the Democratic Party's message to voters is not one of condescension, but rather “a message of joy and inclusivity.”

Behar dismissed Trump supporters as racists and misogynists.

“Every racist and misogynist voted for Donald Trump. Not everyone who voted for Donald Trump is a racist or misogynist,” Haines said.

Behar agreed with Haynes. She previously suggested that Democrats have always supported the working class and that the losses were due to voters not paying attention.

Hostin on Thursday blamed Trump's victory on “uneducated white women” and “Latinx men,” saying the incoming administration would tolerate increased gun violence in schools and exploitation of workers. claimed that it would be done.
