Charles Kushner: Trump's approach brings peace to Gaza by strongly supporting Israel

In Gaza, the sounds of gunfire have ceased. All 20 living hostages are finally back home. After enduring months of conflict and hardship, there’s a glimpse of peace for both Israelis and Palestinians.

When I heard the news, it hit me with the same emotions I felt when the Abraham Accords were announced. My son Jared played a critical role in breaking down barriers that once seemed insurmountable. Once again, America has shown it can deliver real results.

This peace is the outcome of relentless efforts and leadership from a president focused on results rather than mere words.

President Trump rejoices over Middle East peace after signing a Gaza agreement: ‘We accomplished the impossible’

From the start, President Donald Trump has emphasized two key points.

First, Israel has an inherent right to self-defense. This is not up for debate and doesn’t hinge on external approval.

Second, Arab nations that prioritize stability and prosperity over extremism are not just clients but respected allies. Instead of distancing America from its allies, he has fostered closer ties and established new ones.

This straightforward approach has changed the landscape of diplomacy. While others have quibbled over language, Washington took decisive actions. The president crafted a plan, garnered international support, and finalized a deal.

The outcomes are evident. Hamas has consented to release all hostages. Israel, confident in U.S. support, agreed to a ceasefire, defending its citizens. Governments globally are now pledging to lead the rebuilding of Gaza—not as a reward for terrorism, but as a move towards regional stability.

This exemplifies the Trump Doctrine: full support for Israel, unwavering support for the Arab world, and the importance of maintaining clear moral standards without muddling them.

Many previous diplomats misguidedly thought that “balance” was a virtue, as if achieving peace entailed blurring the lines between democracy and terrorism. President Trump dismissed this notion. He realized that genuine peace arises from standing firmly with those who dismiss violence and honoring those who aim for coexistence. While others might preach, America took action. While other nations committed inhumane acts, America engaged in diplomacy.

Global leaders commend ‘landmark’ of the US-mediated Israel-Hamas peace agreement: ‘New avenues of hope’

This practical approach has birthed the Abraham Accords—partnerships based on trust rather than lectures. The strategy that dismantled ISIS and contained Iranian proxies is now fostering peace in Gaza.

This is not about celebrating triumphs; it’s a realistic acknowledgment that serious diplomacy demands credibility—rewarding responsible actions while punishing aggression. Peace is achievable when Washington operates with vision.

Now comes the challenging task of turning this calm into reconstruction, and rebuilding into reconciliation.

Gaza needs to be rebuilt—not as a stronghold for militant groups. The Palestinian people deserve access to education, jobs, and leadership free from the grip of terrorism. Palestinian leaders must initiate real change. Arab and European allies will have U.S. backing as long as they promote moderation over extremism.

Israel can count on what it has consistently received from President Trump: steadfast American support for its security and recognition.

This peace isn’t just a result of fortunate circumstances; it’s the outcome of determination. It highlights that steadfastness and fairness can be allies, that peace springs from conviction rather than uncertainty.

Blessed are the peacemakers.
