Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) posted a social media post on Father’s Day that was so pandering and cheesy that he was forced to delete it after social media commenters pointed out the flaws in his half-baked idea.
Schumer made a rare attempt to be a normal American by posting a photo of herself grilling burgers and hot dogs on Father’s Day.
The 73-year-old Democratic senator posted a photo of himself at a Father’s Day barbecue on Sunday, trying to portray himself as a “normal” American.
But Schumer put his reputation on the line with some less-than-perfect social media posts.
Schumer believed he had momentum; I have written “Our family has lived in apartments for many years, but my daughter and her wife just bought a house with a backyard and for the first time ever we’ll be grilling hot dogs and burgers for a BBQ! Father’s Day heaven!” he posted on the social media platform.
However, many social media commentators noticed that while the hot dog was nearly cooked, the burger was raw — an issue that was exacerbated when they noticed that Schumer added cheese to the burger, which wasn’t cooked at all.
according to Bon Appetit Magazine “The Perfect Cheeseburger Recipe”
For the perfect cheeseburger, flip the burger over, cover the grill, and top with a slice of cheese during the final minute of cooking. American cheese is a classic and no other cheese melts better than it, but you can also substitute a spicier version for cheddar, or use pepper jack, Swiss, muenster, or any other cheese you like. The heat of the grill will help the cheese melt quickly and evenly, so it’ll be perfectly melted by the time the burgers are done.
But instead of cooking one side of the burger, Schumer put a slice of cheese on top of the raw beef. Suddenly, Schumer found herself in hot water.
The internet was quick to take notice and denounced the Democratic leader. Senator Schumer tried to catch on, Many memes He posted that he panicked and deleted the original post.
