Climate activists face felony charges for defacing US Constitution display case

Two left-wing climate change activists have been charged with felonies for defacing a display case of the U.S. Constitution.

The Justice Department on Friday charged Donald Zepeda of Maryland and Jackson Greene of Utah with vandalism of government property following their climate change act in which they dumped red powder into a box protecting the U.S. Constitution in the National Archives Rotunda. announced that he has been charged with a felony.

The duo’s vandalism on February 14th prompted immediate eviction from the Rotunda. Video taken by supporters showed the two covered in red powder, and a constitutional protection display case also appeared to be sprinkled with red powder.

The Department of Justice announced in a press release that Zepeda and Green’s stunt resulted in more than $50,000 in damages.

The rotunda was closed for four days.
