Colorado City Council Member Says ‘Denver Is the Problem’ as Migrant Gangs Occupy Housing

Aurora City Councilman Daniel Jurinski has drawn national attention to immigrant gangs that are being welcomed by the Biden-Harris administration and its Denver Democratic allies.

“This isn't just a Denver metropolitan issue… [it] “This is a failure at the southern border,” Jurinski told Breitbart News exclusively on Thursday.

“This is not something that is unique to Aurora, Colorado. I can't stress this enough. But you need to have other municipalities and other agencies talking about this because this could be a stain on your organization, on your city or on the community that you represent,” she added.

A shocking video has gone viral showing armed gang members marching through the hallways of an Aurora apartment complex, intimidating residents and trying to take control of the area.

Jurinski said he's standing up to bring national attention to the problems caused by pro-Biden-Harris Venezuelan gangs that are wreaking havoc in his Aurora, Colorado, community, and he wants a solution.

The councilman is highlighting rising crime in Aurora that he believes is being blamed on members of the Tren de Aragua, a dangerous Venezuelan street gang that has flooded the area after being expelled from the nearby sanctuary city of Denver.

Councilman Jurinski is leading an effort to make this video available nationally to help cities heal from these crimes, but he also noted that the problem isn't just in Denver or Aurora, it's nationwide.

“Not only is crime on the rise, but many different types of crime that were rarely seen before they were reported are on the rise,” she said, speaking of issues such as shootings, robberies and intimidation.

Jurinski was speaking about a shocking video that recently surfaced that showed a group of armed gang members running around an Aurora apartment building — the building where the video was taken was recently cleared of organized crime, and Jurinski said he was a leading force in making that happen.

“But I did go there and evicted those people, and it's only because they were able to get out safely that we were able to release the footage yesterday. If they hadn't gotten out and we had released the footage, they likely would have been killed,” she said, adding that if the footage had been released before the gang was evicted, residents would have been in serious danger.

The situation has many longtime residents considering leaving Aurora, city council members say.

“We're seeing an increase in residents moving out or talking about moving out,” she added.

Jurinski also noted that it's hard to isolate the impact of this wave of immigration on Aurora's property values, as Biden inflation and interest rates are already rocking the national housing and retail markets, but in Aurora's case, immigration issues never help matters.

The negative impact on Aurora is clear, but the responsibility lies primarily with Jurinski.

“But Denver is the problem here,” she said. “They put up a giant banner at City Hall that said, 'We love immigrants,' and they helped bring all of this here, and then Denver said, 'We turn nobody away,' and 'No human being is illegal.' So Denver is the problem. They are definitely the problem here, and what's happening in Aurora is a spillover of what Denver allowed.”

The councilman also agreed that Denver loudly but hypocritically virtue-speaks about welcoming immigrants while quietly telling them not to come and settle in Denver — and, perhaps worse, tries to push some of them into surrounding cities.

Jurinski went on to say that he is actively working on the matter to finally find some kind of solution to the Biden-Harris immigration crisis.

“I hope that, firstly, this will encourage others to stop denying that this problem exists, that it's here, and secondly, that it will encourage us to start doing something about it,” she said.

“We hope that federal agents will come to the Denver metropolitan area and get this gang out of here,” Jurinski concluded.
