Conservatives raise questions after Secret Service reveals alleged Iranian plot to assassinate Trump

Conservatives on social media expressed strong skepticism Tuesday of the U.S. Secret Service’s revelation that it had stepped up security for former President Donald Trump after learning in recent weeks that Iran was plotting to assassinate him.

The news comes on the heels of an assassination attempt on President Trump at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, but the timing may be coincidental. Adrian Watson Authorities insisted they had “not identified any links between the shooter and any foreign, domestic or co-conspirators.”
