New York Giants’ Season Impacted by Quarterback’s Injury

Dart experienced significant pain after being tackled by linebackers Byron Young and Josiah Stewart during the game’s opening drive against the Los Angeles Rams.

This news has understandably disappointed Giants fans, but it has also sparked a wave of commentary from critics of former President Donald Trump, many of whom have attributed Dart’s injury to the so-called “Trump curse.” Back in May, Dart had publicly supported Trump by introducing him at a rally in New York.

Some responses suggested that Dart’s introduction of Trump at the rally had brought him bad luck, with one individual stating, “Talk about the kiss of death.” Another comment echoed a similar sentiment, saying, “Everything…and I mean EVERYTHING…that Trump touches turns to s***, including Dart.” The overall tone of these comments reflects a belief that anyone associated with Trump ends up facing misfortune.

Amidst the negativity, Young, the linebacker who tackled Dart, took a more respectful approach on social media. Expressing concern for Dart, he wrote, “Never play to hurt anybody. I pray for a healthy recovery.” He included a prayer emoji in his post.

In the aftermath of the injury, the Giants suffered a defeat against the Rams, with a score of 6 to 28.
