Cuban migrant filmed crashing into ICE vehicles in Texas

A Cuban national is now in federal custody after an incident at a Texas Walmart parking lot where she allegedly rammed an ICE vehicle and almost hit an officer. This event, caught on camera, has raised concerns among authorities.

On Tuesday, 25-year-old Robin Argott Brooks was pulled over in San Antonio. Video footage shows her exiting her gold sedan and disregarding police commands, before suddenly reversing her vehicle at speed.

The video also reveals her narrowly avoiding the agents’ car and then smashing into an FBI SUV.

Shortly after, Argott Brooks reportedly crashed into another ICE vehicle at high speed but found herself unable to break free from the officers’ blockade.

An officer sitting in the front seat was injured during the crash, though the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) didn’t provide specific details about the injuries.

Footage later shows investigators breaking the driver’s side window, pulling Argott Brooks from the car, and securing her with handcuffs.

DHS noted that the Cuban national entered the U.S. via the Laredo Port of Entry in October 2024. This was amid a significant influx of illegal immigration, with over a million entering during that year under the Biden administration’s CBP One app, which has faced criticism.

At the time of her release, Customs and Border Protection had issued her a notice to appear for immigration proceedings, pending her parole which is set to expire in April 2025, according to court documents.

This incident unfolded after officers conducted a license plate check and discovered that Argott Brooks was listed without a Social Security number or driver’s license, prompting a decision to engage her.

Now, she is facing charges for federal property destruction due to damages totaling at least $4,847.19, and the potential penalties could include up to 10 years in prison and a fine of $250,000.

This alarming event highlights a troubling trend, as there has been a staggering 3,200% increase in vehicular attacks against ICE officers in recent times, based on DHS statistics.

DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin attributed the rise in violence to so-called sanctuary policies, claiming they have fostered an environment where illegal immigrants feel emboldened to resist arrest and attack law enforcement.

As McLaughlin emphasized, “Secretary Noem has made clear that anyone who attacks law enforcement will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
