Cubs legend Ryne Sandberg has revealed the sad news about his prostate cancer.
Sandberg, 65, announced in an Instagram post that her cancer has returned and spread to other parts of her body.
“I would like to share with the Chicago Cubs, National Baseball Hall of Fame, City of Chicago, and our loyal fans an update on my prostate cancer. Unfortunately, the cancer has recently returned and It was found that the disease had spread to other organs,” Sandberg wrote.
“This means I will be returning to more intensive treatment. We will continue to stay positive, be strong, and continue to fight to get through this. Thoughts and prayers are with me and my family. thank you.”
Sandberg's social media post received many well-wishes.

The announcement was especially devastating because the latest news about Sandberg's cancer had been promising.
Sandberg first revealed his cancer diagnosis in January, and in August. He was excited to share that he was cancer-free..
Sandberg made his MLB debut with the Pirates in 1981, making six at-bats.
He was traded to the Cubs in 1982 and played there until retiring in 1997.
Sandberg was the 1984 National League MVP, a 10-time All-Star, a seven-time Silver Slugger, and a nine-time Gold Glove Award winner.
He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2005.
Following his playing career, Sandberg served as Phillies manager since 2013, resigning during the 2015 season.
