Authorities discovered dismembered bodies bagged and stored inside a Tesla associated with D4VD, a singer originally from New York.
Investigators are in the process of identifying female victims after the remains were left abandoned late Monday and subsequently taken to a tow yard in Los Angeles, where they were found in the trunk of the car.
The medical examiner’s office in Los Angeles stated that one of the victims has black wavy hair and stands approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall.
Reports indicate the body stuffed in the Tesla belonged to a woman wearing a tube top, adorned with a “Shae” tattoo on her finger.
Additionally, the victim was found wearing black leggings, a yellow bracelet, and stud earrings.
She also had an “shhhh” tattoo on her right index finger.
Officials believe it may take some time to accurately identify the victim due to the condition of the remains, which were not entirely intact and had begun to decompose.
While the exact cause and time of death are still unknown, police are treating the case as a homicide.
This disturbing find came shortly after workers at the Hollywood reservoir reported a foul odor emanating from the vehicle, leading to its towing.
The Tesla was carrying a Texas license plate and registered to D4VD, who is currently on tour. It was reportedly abandoned in Hollywood Hills the previous week.
Authorities confirmed that the car had not been stolen, as TMZ reported.
D4VD, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, is cooperating fully with law enforcement, despite being on tour, according to his representative.
With a significant following on social media and billions of streams on platforms like Spotify, D4VD performed in Minneapolis on Tuesday night while the investigation unfolds.
His spokesperson stated, “D4VD is aware of the situation and while he is still on tour, he is completely cooperating with the authorities.”
