A Democratic senator from California who is working to extend prison sentences for pedophiles is fed up with members of his own party not fully cooperating.

Under California law, soliciting or procuring sexual favors from a child is a misdemeanor that can carry a prison sentence of two days to a year and a $10,000 fine.
“Last month, some Democratic lawmakers watered down the bill to make it a felony only for purchases by minors under the age of 16,” the report said.
