On Election Day, when voters across the country head to the polls, Vice President Harris and former President Trump are at a critical moment.
The race has been at a stubborn stalemate for weeks, with many experts agreeing that the race is essentially a jump ball. Harris and Trump are tied nationally at 48%, according to a poll compiled by Hill & Decision Desk Headquarters.
Harris will watch the results come out at her alma mater, Howard University in Washington, D.C., while Trump will spend time at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. The former president voted in Florida on Tuesday morning with his wife, former first lady Melania Trump.
Control of the House is also up for grabs, and political observers from all walks of life will be watching with anxious anticipation on Tuesday for early signs of which party will take the gavel in the next Congress.
Voting closes first on the East Coast and, with some exceptions, results there should be the quickest.
