Elon Musk invited by Larry Ellison to Hawaii to ‘dry out from drugs’

In the wake of Elon Musk’s drug use allegations, Larry Ellison invited the billionaire to toast at the Oracle co-founder’s Hawaii mansion, according to a report.

Ellison, a member of Tesla’s board of directors, reached out to the Tesla president in the winter of 2022 after other board members raised concerns about Musk’s actions. The Wall Street Journal reported this over the weekend.

Musk, whose portfolio includes SpaceX and social media platform X, admitted to using ketamine to treat depression.

But he also reportedly took recreational drugs such as LSD and ecstasy with members of Tesla’s board of directors, including venture capitalists Steve Jurvetson and Antonio Gracias.

Mr. Jurvetson and Mr. Gracias are among eight board members with personal ties to Mr. Musk and have amassed hundreds of millions of dollars worth of stock, far more than any other public company director. This is a large amount.

According to the paper, there is a culture around Musk where friends and board members are expected to take drugs with him for fear of offending the CEO if he doesn’t.

Ellison, who owns much of the Hawaiian island of Lanai, has hosted Musk, a “very close friend,” on numerous occasions, the newspaper reported.

Around the same time that Ellison extended the invitation to Musk, Musk attended a party in the Hollywood Hills where he ingested liquid ecstasy from a water bottle, the paper said.

Before Musk took the drug, his personal bodyguard allegedly asked people to leave the floor of his house to protect his privacy.

Musk also attended a drug-fueled party at the Hotel El Ganzo in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico, with his brother Kimbal, also a Tesla board member, the newspaper reported.

The magazine reported last month that Musk is known to have used cocaine, ecstasy, LSD and magic mushrooms.

In response, Mr. Musk wrote about X: “No trace amounts of drugs or alcohol were detected. @WSJ is not suitable for lining parrot cages for birds [poop emoji]”

He later wrote: “If a drug actually helped increase my net productivity in the long term, I would definitely take it!”

In 2018, the federal government subjected Musk to unannounced drug tests as required by NASA contractor SpaceX after he smoked marijuana while being interviewed on Joe Rogan’s podcast. .
