Ex-Uvalde school police chief, officer indicted over mass shooting response

The former Uvalde schools police chief and another former police officer have been indicted over their response to a 2022 mass shooting at a Texas elementary school that left 19 children and two teachers dead, according to multiple reports Thursday.

A grand jury indicted former school police chief Pete Arredondo and former officer Adrian Gonzalez on multiple felony charges of child endangerment, the Uvalde Leader-News and San Antonio Express-News reported.
