The video shows the Bidens preparing to leave the event early as soldiers salute nearby. Later in the video, President Macron is seen speaking with veterans inside the event venue.
However, this claim is false. original videoA video shared by The Guardian on YouTube shows that the Bidens did not leave the event early. At approximately the 1:02:46 minute mark, the Bidens can be seen saying goodbye to veterans onstage at the event. At this point, the event has ended, and instrumental music plays. A few minutes later, the Bidens can be seen walking in front of soldiers saluting nearby. Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte leave the event at approximately the 1:04:12 minute mark in the video.

Citing a White House investigative report, the outlet also reported that the Bidens visited a different part of the Normandy Cemetery where the event was held and laid wreaths at the graves of soldiers who died.
