In one area of North Carolina, police say a family Five were tortured The intruders attacked them for over an hour.
The Harnett County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release that around 2 a.m. on June 15, five people were sitting in the garage of their Spout Springs home with the door closed when they were attacked by a group of men.
“They just started sticking it on their bodies.”
The five victims included a father, a mother, their daughter and the daughter’s friend. The identity of the fifth victim is unknown.
“The victims were forced into the residence where they were assaulted,” the statement said.
Police said up to six men bound the victims with duct tape and began torturing them with hot metal.
“They put knives and forks on the stove, heated them up, and started stabbing the body,” Harnett County Sheriff Wayne Coats said. “They were trying to get us to tell them where the money and the guns were.”
The father, mother and daughter were treated for non-life-threatening injuries at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
The suspects stole personal property and two of the family’s vehicles. Police say they fled in a gray or silver Dodge Challenger with black wheels.

Neighbor Jeffrey Miller said the incident has terrified people in the neighborhood.
“We put up security yesterday,” he says. “I thought it was security, but now we need cameras.”
Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.
“Due to the violent nature of this incident, we ask that you share any information you have,” police said.
Harnett County is located in the central part of North Carolina and is home to approximately 141,000 residents.
