Expatriate Confesses to Horrific Crime in MA Shelter
A man living in a Massachusetts immigration shelter has admitted to a horrific crime against his daughter. This 44-year-old resident of the Marlborough Holiday Inn pleaded guilty on July 11 to the aggravated rape of a child.
John Featherton, who managed the shelter at the time, alerted authorities about the incident, which involved the man reportedly abusing and raping his 14-year-old daughter while they were in state care. Featherton had previously shared with Blaze News that during his tenure from November 2023 to July 2024, he had reported numerous grim incidents, including domestic violence and sexual assaults.
Middlesex District Attorney’s Office mentioned that DNA samples taken after the birth of the victim’s child confirmed the man as the biological father. In fact, the evidence showed he was 23 trillion times more likely to be the father of the child.
Since the guilty plea last week, the man now faces a prison sentence ranging from 12 to 15 years. His name has been kept confidential to safeguard his daughter’s identity.
Featherton mentioned he has reached out to the Justice Department, urging them to investigate the shelter system, labeling it “dangerous and corrupt.” He raised alarms about a disturbing trend of criminal activity within these facilities, including sexual violence and financial mismanagement.
His letter called for the DOJ to look into the alleged misconduct, misuse of funds, and a lack of appropriate coordination with law enforcement regarding reports of abuse.
Still waiting for a response from Bondi’s office, Featherton expressed hope that justice would prevail. “I’m not after political theater. What I seek is accountability for the horrific abuse that has taken place,” he stated. He criticized the system for failing vulnerable families, emphasizing that those in charge—be it state officials or private contractors—need to be held accountable. “If Bondi or the DOJ doesn’t take action, I will keep pushing until someone does. The tragedy must end—the silence can’t go on.”
On Friday, the DOJ indicated they had not received the letter from Featherton.
Featherton showed evidence that his message was delivered to Bondi’s office on June 13.
