FEMA investigating stunning report that hurricane relief workers were ordered to skip houses with pro-Trump signs

The Federal Emergency Management Agency said it was investigating a shocking report that one of its officials ordered relief workers to skip a home displaying pro-Trump signs.

daily wire first documented The charges are based on testimony from multiple employees that supervisor Marni Washington gave them verbal orders to avoid Trump's home. We also obtained documents to support our claims.

“It's almost unbelievable that anyone in the federal government would think that's okay.”

An entry in the government system seen by The Wire said: “President Trump has signed a ban on entry by leadership.”

Washington, D.C., while workers were reportedly patrolling neighborhoods in Lake Placid, Fla., to register residents for federal aid for damage caused by Hurricane Milton in October and November. The government has issued this order.

“We knew they were understaffed, and we thought we could come and help and make a difference,” said one of the employees quoted in the Wire report. “When we got there, we were told to discriminate against people. It's almost unbelievable that someone in the federal government would think that was OK.”

The report found that in districts affected by Washington's order, 70% of voters voted in favor of President-elect Donald Trump.

“I volunteered to help the victims, not to discriminate against them,” the employee continued. “It didn't matter if people were black, white, Hispanic, Trump supporters, Harris supporters. Everyone was entitled to the same amount of aid.”

Other messages on the government system included “Do not stop Trump flags by leadership,” “Trump sign,” and “Trump sign, no contact by leadership.”

FEMA told Wire it is investigating the allegations.

“We're aware of that and we're taking action at this time regarding the situation you're talking about,” said Chad Hershey, FEMA supervisor in Washington.

The Wire also obtained a complaint filed with FEMA about the incident.

“This conduct raises serious concerns of discrimination against U.S. citizens based on their political views,” the complaint says. “These actions not only undermine the integrity of our government institutions and create a hostile work environment for people of different political persuasions, but they threaten our nation's very democracy.”

FEMA has long been criticized by many as slow and incompetent in responding to major natural disasters that hit primarily Republican-majority states and counties.
