Florida woman allegedly attacked man with gardening tool after he canceled plans

The Florida woman is behind the bar after it allegedly attacked a man in a garden hoe to cancel the plan with her.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office said 47-year-old Melanie Davis had plans to “hang out” when he canceled her last week. Fox 13 Tampa Bay.

Angry at his decision, Davis went to his home in Frostroof, Florida around 3am Tuesday and began screaming at him from outside.

The argument escalated as Davis climbed the fence onto his property and began to push the door and punch him, investigators said.

At one point she grabbed a gardening tool and hit him with it.

The man was taken to the hospital while Davis was taken to prison.

She is charged with armed robbery with a battery, fatal weapons, simple batteries and aggravating the battery with criminal mischief.

Davis has a long history with the Polk County Sheriff's Office when he was first charged with battery at the age of 19 in 1997.

Jail records show that she was arrested 27 times in Polk County prior to last week's incident. Her previous charges have been seriously injured, ranging from minor theft to battery.

She was last booked at the Polk County Jail in March 2024, when she was charged with domestic violence against someone over the age of 65.
