Violent Assault on Elderly Man in Baltimore

In a disturbing incident that occurred in Baltimore, a video surfaced showing a group of six young men attacking a 74-year-old man outside a 7-Eleven. This brutal event took place early in the morning around 3:46 a.m. on July 7, according to police. Eyewitness reports indicate that the assailants were armed with rifles and swords during the altercation.

The police have labeled the incident as an “attempted armed robbery.” In the footage shared by authorities, the elder can be seen approaching the convenience store when one of the attackers points what appears to be a gray assault rifle at him. As the victim attempts to flee, the others close in.

What follows is chaotic—the group takes turns throwing objects and pushing the elderly man, who struggles to defend himself. Unfortunately, one of the attackers managed to sneak up from behind, pushing him to the ground, where he was subjected to kicks and punches. Disturbingly, one assailant appears to strike him in the head with a rifle.

Another segment of the video shows a different older individual pursuing one of the suspects with a rifle, while another attacker tosses something at the victim from behind.

At one point, a suspect wielding a sword approaches, swinging it at the victim, as others join in by throwing objects. A particularly heartbreaking moment arises when the elderly man, using a milk crate as a shield, is knocked down yet again and subjected to blows and kicks.

As he gets back on his feet, the same assailant who previously knocked him down assaults him once more, seemingly celebrating after the act. The video does not reveal how the situation ultimately ended.

It was later confirmed that the 7-Eleven was closed at the time of the attack, and the victim was treated for minor injuries afterwards. The local robbery detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying those involved and are encouraging anyone with information to reach out.
