GHF Surpasses 50 Million Meals Distributed in Gaza
The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) reached a significant milestone of over 50 million meals distributed in Gaza on Sunday, all while facing the ongoing threats from Hamas.
John Acley, the interim chair of the organization’s executive committee, stated:
“Our aid workers on the ground are doing remarkable things under conditions that are beyond comprehension. We are aware of credible reports indicating that Hamas is explicitly targeting the GHF and our team members. These reports highlight that Hamas is benefiting from both our American security personnel and Palestinian aid workers, jeopardizing the only operational aid distribution system in Gaza.”
“Today, we have surpassed an incredible milestone (over 51 million meals delivered), and we understand that merely trying to provide food to the people in Gaza amidst the ongoing conflict makes us targets of Hamas’s brutality. Yet, we will strive to continue this vital work.”
The organization also addressed misinformation regarding violence at its aid distribution sites.
Inaccurate news reports: “We successfully completed our deliveries today. Unfortunately, false claims regarding attacks near our distribution locations have consistently emerged. Incorrect reports about the situation in the region are obstructing the delivery of critical aid to those who need it most.”
GHF News Surveillance is constantly revealing inaccuracies in reports from international media, which have not occurred near our site, instead relating to violent incidents involving UN convoys or other humanitarian organizations nearby. The UN has corroborated this in its own report. We’ve seen a rise in false information, seemingly originated from the Gaza Health Ministry, an entity linked to Hamas, which was initially reported by Al Jazeera, echoed by the UN, and currently being circulated by Médecins Sans Frontières.
Conclusion: The Health Ministry under Hamas is not a credible source of information.
On Friday, President Donald Trump acknowledged GHF’s efforts in the Oval Office, announcing that the US has started to provide financial support to the organization.
