One significant source of anxiety among young individuals today is AI. Beck points out its capabilities, noting that while it can process immense information, it lacks fundamental human experiences.
“The technology in your pocket can read every book ever written but has never experienced fear or joy. It can gather data about you faster than you can blink, but it can never understand what it’s like to truly be you,” he explains.
He reassures that individuals possess unique reasons for getting out of bed each day, even if they don’t always have the answers. “Don’t replace those reasons,” he cautions.
Beck contrasts knowledge with wisdom, making it clear that AI’s vast information doesn’t equate to real understanding.
“Don’t mix them up. Don’t revere one over the other,” he states, reminding us that while humans are creations of God, AI is not.
“Cold algorithms won’t produce souls that weep when they hear beautiful music. You were made with intention. You’re not just a face in the crowd; you are you,” he continues. “Amidst the chaos, your purpose is waiting for you. Take a moment to find it.”
