Newsom’s Office Takes Jabs at Trump on Social Media

California Governor Gavin Newsom’s team is having a field day on social media, playfully mocking President Donald Trump by mimicking his distinctive writing style.

Recently, the governor’s press team crafted several posts on X, featuring all caps and playful nicknames—reminders of Trump’s frequent social media antics. Their latest jab came on Friday, responding to a White House account following a meeting with two world leaders in Alaska, showcasing a photo of Trump alongside Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In their response, Newsom’s team quipped, “A little hand is copying me here, but I don’t have stamina (sad) and certainly no ‘looking.’ Total Beta! -GCN.” The post included an image that appeared to poke fun at a newspaper from the current year.

Following the leaders’ meeting, Newsom’s team criticized Trump for what they termed his “low energy” during his encounter with Putin. They stated, “Trump escaped the podium with Putin. No questions, nothing! Complete energy. He looked like he’d just eaten three KFC buckets with Vlad.”

The commentary continued, suggesting that “many people say he asked Putin to hold his hand on his way out.” They urged Trump to acknowledge the chaos he’s caused over the past week, with phrases like, “This was the worst week of your life for me, Gavin C. Newsom.” The post also referenced Newsom’s plans for California Democrats to revise favorable district maps in response to Texas Republicans’ redistricting efforts.

Accusations flew, as Newsom’s team suggested that Trump might even consider transferring California to Russia during his discussions with Putin. “Many people say Donald J thinks California’s freedom is ‘giving’ to his ‘best friend’ Vladimir Putin,” they noted.

In another playful post, Newsom’s press team proposed that the governor should be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for his electoral efforts. They quipped, “A lot of people say that I, Gavin C. Newsom (the American favorite governor), deserves a Nobel Peace Prize—and I agree,” claiming his mapping efforts could end contentious elections and restore democracy.

The tone remained light-hearted as the account continued, “Peace by maps—no one has ever thought of this. I am now the governor of ‘Time of Peace’ and ‘stop the political war’ before it starts.” They emphasized the importance of harmony, unity, and love, with a nod to the Nobel Committee’s selection of awardees.

Prior to this series of tweets, Newsom’s team had been targeting “Maga” Republicans throughout the week, keeping the playful banter going and gaining attention online.
