Trump Responds to Tarlov’s Invitation

President Trump expressed on Thursday that he is “not a fan” of Jessica Tarlov after she invited him to sit next to her during a segment of “The Five.”

In the interview, Trump declined the informal invitation, labeling her references to polling data as “fake numbers” while acknowledging, somewhat indirectly, that she seems like a “nice person.” He shifted the conversation to a broader critique of polling, equating negative polls with misleading journalism.

Watters, a co-host on the show, suggested that Trump join them on set, saying, “I think you can be a positive influence on her. Can you do that?”

Trump responded, “I look at Jessica and I’m not a fan. She uses fake numbers. She’ll say, ‘Well, he only voted 42%.’ That’s not true… Polls are like bad journalists. Bad journalists write fake articles, and fake polls can be damaging too. But, I’m sure she’s a nice person.”

When Watters mentioned that Tarlov was not present, Trump queried, “Now tell me, did she not want to do it or did you kick her out?”

Watters clarified that they hadn’t fired Tarlov; she had a prior commitment that she couldn’t change.

Meanwhile, Tarlov has been critical of Trump on-air, accusing him of hypocrisy and complacency in his policies.

Some reports have indicated that Trump’s economic approaches, including tax cuts and deregulation, have contributed to job growth and positive GDP statistics. The White House asserts that his decisions align with strategic goals, not hypocrisy or complacency.
