Hollywood Donor, ‘Lost’ Creator Damon Lindelof Urges Democrats to Stop Giving Money to Force Biden Off Ticket

Damon Lindelof, creator of the hit ABC series lost John F. Kennedy, a major Hollywood donor to left-leaning politicians, is calling on Democrats to stop funding the Biden campaign and all of the party’s candidates in an effort to persuade President Joe Biden to give up reelection following his disastrous debate defeat.

As a guest column Damon Lindelof told Deadline on Wednesday that it’s time for Democrats to “wake up” to the fact that Biden’s campaign is in rapid decline.

“So I suggest DEMbargo: don’t write a check. don’t click on ActBlue links. To anyone,” he wrote, later adding, “If you get a text message asking for cash, reply that you’re not giving them a penny and that you won’t change your mind until you see the change on the top of your ticket.”

Lindelof argued that replacing Biden was the most effective way to defeat former President Donald Trump, whom he described as a “liar. A cheat. A rapist. A felon.”

“I admit I am driven by the arrogance of thinking that what Hollywood elites have to say matters to anyone,” he wrote. “But I am also driven by purpose. And polls. Oh, my God. voteHe was behind in front “The debate will continue and the situation will not improve.”

“So we have to act now, and we have to act fast.”

Lindelof is part of a growing number of Democratic donors calling for Biden to be replaced as the presidential candidate given his apparent age. Hollywood superagent Ari Emanuel expressed a similar pessimistic view this week, saying donors are pulling money from the Biden campaign, as reported by Breitbart News.

A recent CBS News poll showed that 72% of voters think Biden should not run for a second term, up nine points from February.

Democrats have been fiercely sparring over who should replace Biden, with some backing Vice President Kamala Harris.

But replacing Biden at this late stage could be difficult, if not impossible, in many states because of different election laws and regulations.
