Victims of the Houston home invasion fought the armed theft Wednesday night, police said – and the victim turned the fraudster's table, took away a gun, then shot him dead.
police He told KPRC-TV The three robbers targeted an apartment on Westridge Street near NRG Stadium in the southeastern part of the city just after 9pm.

One of the masked men knocked on the door and two others tried to break in through the window, the station said, citing a police news release. Residents had called 911 by then, KPRC reported.
Police say one of the robbers pointed a gun at two tenants, and the station reported that the fight continued after one of the tenants knocked out the gun from the hand of the theft.
During the fight, police told KPRC the burglar “draw a second gun from the waistband.” However, a 20-year-old apartment resident who was fighting theft stolen stolen a gun from the suspect and shot him, the station said.
Two other robbers fled by the time police arrived, KPRC added that the third robber shot during the fight was killed from his injury. Police identified the deceased robber only as an 18-year-old man, the station said.
KPRC said no charges have been made against the homeowner, but police contacted the Harris County District Attorney's Office to confirm that the large ju judge would consider the case.
