Hunter Biden, a consistent liar, took advantage of Tucker Carlson's platform to further misrepresent his 'laptop from hell'

It seems that lying has become almost second nature for Hunter and Joe Biden, leading them to, well, disconnect from reality. Because Joe was in a position of power, many people believed his falsehoods. Hunter, on the other hand, is a former crack addict, struggling father, and a pardoned felon, leaving him with mostly an audience of eager podcasters.

His latest moment in the spotlight comes via Tucker Carlson.

During an appearance, Hunter, adapting to the interview style, played into Carlson’s current concerns about Israel, suggesting that “Netanyahu” and “Mossad” were involved in manipulating the laptop and cloud data, despite his earlier allegations of Russian involvement.

My colleague Steven Nelson has pointed out several glaring falsehoods from this interview. In addition, Garrett Ziegler from Marco Polo plans to release a video detailing a hundred discrepancies.

It might seem monotonous, but it’s crucial to prevent Hunter, with help from the media, from rewriting history based on fabrications.

The crux of Hunter’s narrative is that he never delivered three water-damaged laptops to John Paul Mac Isaac’s shop in Wilmington, Delaware.

“I honestly don’t remember dropping my laptop at John Paul Mac Isaac’s,” Hunter claimed to Carlson.

overwhelming evidence

After that, he went on a winding rant filled with half-baked lies, mentioning various names including Ukrainians, Russians, Chinese, and Israeli-Americans. There was a mention of a certain Yaacov Appelbaum that warrants further discussion.

“That laptop doesn’t exist. Eventually, the truth will surface… According to the FBI, it was a hard drive, not a laptop… They hacked into my cloud… It’s a complicated scenario involving Israeli, Russian-Ukrainian, and even certain American figures,” he rambled.

Carlson’s response to this jumble of words? “I agree.”

By denying the laptop’s origins, Hunter aims to undermine the thoroughly documented evidence of wrongdoing it contains.

The audit trail is robust and transparent.

For instance, Mac Isaac’s store has an $85 repair receipt (#7469) for “attempted data recovery from three MacBook Pros,” which is signed by Hunter himself.

The FBI seized the laptop on December 9, 2019, after Mac Isaac contacted them. Two agents showed up with a subpoena, signed by Delaware Assistant U.S. Attorney Leslie Wolfe. The agent left Mac Isaac with a receipt for the laptop and hard drive.

As per court documents and forensic evidence from Hunter’s federal gun trial, the FBI managed to geolocate Hunter’s phone to Wilmington’s Sikar Cigar Lounge right around the time he dropped off his laptop. Prosecutors backed up Mac Isaac’s account with financial and location data. Though legally blind, Mac Isaac could recognize Hunter when he introduced himself, noting the smell of alcohol and cigar smoke around him.

IRS Agent Gary Shapley testified in 2023 before the House Ways and Means Committee that the FBI verified the laptop’s authenticity and found no evidence of manipulation, confirming its admissibility in court. Court records from Hunter’s case support Shapley’s claims.

This specific silver MacBook Pro was shown to jurors in Wilmington on June 4, 2024, identified by an FBI agent as belonging to Hunter. I was present that day, and neither Hunter nor his attorney contested its use. The jury in Joe Biden’s hometown took just three hours to convict Hunter on three felonies.

The prosecution had originally planned to use the laptop as evidence; however, Hunter entered a guilty plea on the first trial day before jurors could be selected, according to pretrial documents from his September 2024 felony tax evasion trial in California. Surprisingly, just three months later, his father pardoned him for all crimes committed after January 1, 2014—coinciding with the start of the conflict in Ukraine.

It raises eyebrows that Carlson chose to go along with Hunter’s narrative. Back when he was with Fox News, he was an outspoken critic of the case following its revelation shortly before the 2020 election.

He invited me to appear on his show multiple times to discuss the evidence linking Joe Biden to a family influence scheme while he was vice president, where Hunter along with other family members reportedly profited substantially by leveraging Joe’s status in corrupt regions during the Obama administration.

At that time, Carlson was vocally against the suppression of the story, criticizing censorship and media manipulation.

Yet now he seems to stand alongside the Biden family in questioning the laptop’s legitimacy.

“The official narrative has emerged about how you left those laptops at a repair shop,” Carlson said to Hunter.

“That narrative felt off. An Israeli tied to Prime Minister Netanyahu came to me and purchased this item on Fox News… That laptop is authentic… But the way it reached the broader media wasn’t legit.”

Neither Hunter nor Carlson detailed any supposed Israeli involvement, but there remains no evidence of such in the detention process. Hunter has a history of misplacing his devices.

He exchanged supposed Israeli contacts for Mr. Appelbaum, a self-identified “computer guy.” They met just days after the story broke, amid a media frenzy and his alleged fears for safety.

Mac Isaac noted that a family friend, formerly of the CIA, had connected him with Appelbaum, who could supposedly verify the laptop’s authenticity.

After meeting with Mac Isaac, Appelbaum reached out to Carlson in late October, providing files from Hunter’s laptop. I have no idea why he felt it necessary to contact Carlson, who was already covering the story nightly. Recently, Appelbaum won a defamation case after being labeled an Israeli spy.

It’s troubling that questioning the laptop’s origins diverts attention from the Biden corruption Mac Isaac aimed to expose at such personal risk.

Carlson used to have substantive concerns about that.
