The fourth day of the Hunter Biden trial focused primarily on the testimony of Biden’s ex-girlfriends. This time, Hallie Biden, the widow of Biden’s late brother Beau, took the stand to claim that she used crack cocaine with Hunter Biden and that she threw out guns that he allegedly purchased illegally.
Hallie Biden and Hunter’s infamous laptop
Harry has already appeared in some capacity as a lawyer at the trial, and at least one witness has mentioned drug-related text messages she exchanged with Hunter Biden. In October 2018, around the time Biden purchased the gun in question, Biden wrote Harry that he was smoking crack cocaine and sleeping in his car. Another message sent around that time mentioned meeting with a drug dealer named “Mookie,” as The Blaze News previously reported.
The messages were allegedly found on the infamous laptop that Hunter left at a computer repair shop in Delaware several years ago. Erica Jensen The FBI testified that it verified the laptop as belonging to Hunter Biden by matching iCloud account data obtained from Apple under subpoena. Prosecutors also obtained receipts from a computer repair store that were sent to a known Biden email account.
Harry’s testimony
On Thursday, Harry, who was granted immunity, took the stand for the prosecution and recounted her rather complicated history with Hunter Biden. She described him as her “brother-in-law,” but also acknowledged that the two “gradually” became romantically involved after the death of her husband, Beau Biden, in 2015. The relationship, she suggested, continued on and off for years.
Harry claimed she first found out Biden was abusing drugs when she spotted an unfamiliar substance while they were dating. She admitted she had to “Google” it because she didn’t know what it was. She said Biden later told her it was crack.
“I can’t believe people are that stupid.”
She later said she witnessed Biden use drugs regularly and that he introduced her to crack, sometimes using rocks the size of “ping pong balls.” CNN report.
“What I went through was a terrible experience, I’m embarrassed, I’m ashamed and I regret that period of my life,” she said.
Although Harry claimed he had stopped using drugs in August 2018, Biden’s use continued and their relationship was volatile.
On October 12, 2018, Biden purchased a Colt revolver from StarQuest Shooters in Wilmington, Delaware. But because federal law prohibits drug addicts from purchasing firearms, before the sale could be completed, Biden had to fill out an ATF form that included questions about illegal drug use. On the form, Biden allegedly stated that he was not a drug addict.
Less than two weeks later, on October 23, 2018, Harry found a revolver and ammunition in Biden’s truck. On the witness stand, Harry recalled feeling scared and anxious that Biden might harm himself or that his children might find the gun and ammunition.
“I panicked and wanted to get rid of them,” she said.
She placed the items in a bag Biden had previously used to transport drugs (which later tested positive for cocaine) and drove to a local grocery store, where she threw the bag in a trash can. “I know now it was a stupid idea, but I was panicking,” she said.
Harry also admitted under oath that he did not directly witness Biden use drugs during the approximately 12 days that he possessed a gun in October 2018.
She then told Biden what she had done, and he instructed her to immediately return to the store and retrieve it. “F***ing FBI, Harry, I can’t believe there are people who are that stupid,” Biden allegedly texted her that day.
“The police were notified and the police were called to the store, where they were able to locate the item. The police were notified and the store was closed. The police were notified and the item was returned to the store. The police were notified and the store was closed. The police were not informed and the item was returned to the store. The police were not informed and the police were not informed.”
During cross-examination, attorney Abe Lowell questioned Harry’s memory, asking him to recall details from that day. “Are you not sure when you went to your car that morning? Are you not sure when you saw him?” the attorney asked. Harry answered both questions in the negative.
Harry also acknowledged in his affidavit that he did not personally witness Biden use drugs during the 11 or so days in October 2018 when he possessed a gun, and could not verify whether Biden’s drug-related messages during that time reflected actual drug use or nonsensical nonsense.
In November 2018, just weeks after the grocery store incident, Biden allegedly texted Harry, “I’m a drunk,” then added, four seconds later, “I’m an addict.” So far, the text messages mentioned in court suggest that Biden was actively using drugs at least as late as September 2018, and well into November 2018.

The gun was eventually recovered by Delaware State Trooper Millard Greer. Greer and Joshua Marley, the officer who also investigated the missing gun case, testified Thursday. Attorney Lowell pressed them on details of the incident, likely to cast doubt on their memories. Attorney Lowell was successful in getting Marley to admit that he had called Biden the “victim” in Harry’s missing gun case.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, Hunter Biden’s father, President Joe Biden, was marking the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings. In an interview with ABC’s David Muir, President Biden confirmed that he would not grant a pardon to his son, Hunter Biden, if convicted.
Hunter Biden currently faces three federal felony charges in connection with his gun purchase: making a material false statement in a firearms sale, making a false statement in a firearms transaction record, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Hunter Biden’s drug use made it illegal for him to purchase or possess firearms, but his lawyers argue that he was not addicted to drugs during the short time he possessed them and therefore did not lie on ATF paperwork at the time of the purchase.
Hunter Biden faces tax-related charges in a separate federal case being tried in Los Angeles. September.
