ICE captures offenders including pedophiles and murderers even while facing criticism during the Super Bowl.

new The spokesperson for Trump’s Department of Homeland Security mentioned that, despite being criticized during the Super Bowl, ICE agents continued their operations, arresting individuals like pedophiles and murderers over the weekend.

President Donald Trump, along with several conservatives, expressed dissatisfaction with the Super Bowl, particularly regarding the halftime performance by Bad Bunny, a Latin trap artist known for his strong criticism of ICE. In fact, he has made derogatory remarks about ICE agents in his social media posts.

“While ICE law enforcement was demonized at the Super Bowl, the dedicated officers were still out there, working to remove public safety threats from our neighborhoods,” said DHS. Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin commented, “Despite Hollywood’s slander, ICE works to make our country safer every day.”

During the Super Bowl weekend, various arrests were made, including that of Mario Rosales Figueroa, an undocumented immigrant from Mexico, apprehended near Visalia, California. DHS reported he had been convicted of sexually assaulting a minor.

In a nearby city in Las Vegas, another arrest was made. Luis Edenilson Ortiz-Lopez, a Salvadoran undocumented immigrant, was taken into custody for a conviction of public indecency. Another individual, Guillermo Arturo Ramirez Rondon, a Colombian, faced charges of sexually assaulting a minor under 14.

Additionally, in New York, ICE arrested Rudy Roa Fuentes, a Dominican national convicted of murder, alongside Anderson Mejía Bonilla from El Salvador, who had been convicted of rape.

Not far from New York, Eduardo Ramos Domingo, a Guatemalan, was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. In Wake County, North Carolina, Darwin Saltpineda, also from El Salvador, faced charges of impaired driving and assault against a government official.

In the Midwest, officials arrested Wilson Perez Guzman, a Guatemalan, who was convicted of statutory sodomy in Missouri, as well as Tung Huy Nguyen from Vietnam, known for felony sexual coercion in Ohio.

Further south, Gustavo Alvarado-Sanchez, a Mexican, was apprehended for kidnapping and assault in Texas, and Carlos Manuel Regla-Ramirez, a Cuban, faced charges of aggravated alien smuggling in Mississippi.

At a recent Grammy Awards event, Bad Bunny criticized ICE during his speech, asserting, “ICE is out,” emphasizing that immigrants are human beings, not animals. A previous Instagram post saw him labeling ICE agents using disrespectful terms.

According to McLaughlin, around 70% of ICE arrests pertain to illegal immigrants with criminal charges or convictions in the U.S. This figure, notably, does not account for foreign fugitives, terrorists, or gang members with clean records. She further noted that the hostile remarks regarding ICE have led to a staggering 1,300% increase in assaults on police officers nationwide.
