ICE Conducts Nationwide Arrests of Sex Offenders
A recent operation by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has led to the arrest of multiple sex offenders and individuals labeled as “violent thugs.” This information comes from a press release that was shared with Blaze News.
An ICE officer commented, “President Trump and Secretary Noem are taking steps to remove these troublesome individuals from our country.”
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has provided details on the arrests made in various states, such as California, Illinois, Texas, and Utah.
In Los Angeles, ICE apprehended Leonardo Popcock, an undocumented immigrant from Guatemala.
In Chicago, officers arrested Alejandro Flores-Martinez, a Mexican national convicted of first-degree sexual abuse in Butler County, Missouri.
Meanwhile, in Dallas, Edgar Agustin Gonzalez Hernandez was taken into custody. He has a history that includes aggravated assault involving a deadly weapon.
Additionally, Ricardo Perez-Valdiviezo, another undocumented individual from Mexico, was arrested in Houston. He had previously been convicted of robbery in Deaf Smith County, Texas.
ICE in Salt Lake City also detained Wilbers Mardecino from the Philippines, who was convicted of attempts to seduce a minor in Las Vegas.
Deputy Chief Tricia McLaughlin expressed her outrage, stating, “It’s alarming to see pedophiles and violent offenders allowed to prey on Americans.” She added, “Under the leadership of President Trump and Secretary Kristi Noem, we are committed to removing such threats from our communities.”
The DHS noted an increase in Americans actively applying to join ICE, underscoring a communal push to support law enforcement efforts aimed at eliminating severe crimes and undocumented immigrants.
“The DHS encourages community involvement in law enforcement to help uphold the rule of law and promote public safety,” the department announced.
