ICE Raids Donut Shop near Texas Border — Arrest Owners for Harboring Aliens

US immigration and customs enforcement officers and agents arrested the donut shop owner after finding eight illegal aliens working in the business. The owner of Abbey's bakery in Los Fresnos, Texas, was reportedly recognized by investigators who knew that immigrants were illegally present in the United States.

Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) Homeland Security Survey (HSI) Special Agents entered the Rio Grande Valley Bakery on February 12th. They contacted Mexican nationals Leonardo Baez and Nora Alicia Aviraguel. The two owners held legal permanent resident status, according to criminal charges obtained by Breitbart Texas.

During a visit to the shop, the HSI agent encountered eight illegal foreigners working at the facility. The agent said they acknowledged that the two owners knew that all eight were illegal aliens who were not permitted to live or work in the United States. They also reportedly admitted that they knew they had illegally violated aliens, 8 USC, 1324 violations.

Agents also interviewed at least two Mexican citizens who are illegally present in the United States. Witnesses accused the owner of the donut shop had no documents to remain in the US and that they had been aware of this.

“The arrest of a foreigner is the result of workplace enforcement action,” said HSI Special Agent, who filed criminal charges in US District Court for the Southern District of Texas. The facts were submitted to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Texas.

Trump administration's border Czar Tom Homand and DHS secretary Kristi Noem have both pledged to crack down on people with illegal foreigners. Noem recently warned illegal aliens who live in or come to the US that “we'll corner you,” Breitbart Texas reported. Homan went to warn elected officials that if they attempt to block deportation efforts, they could be charged with illegally blocked law enforcement agencies.
