Idaho salon’s customers ‘dropping like flies’ after owner’s tirade about Trump voters

An Idaho beauty salon has seen customers “drop like flies” after its owner criticized supporters of President-elect Donald Trump as “racist, homophobic and misogynistic.” I'm doing it. Trending TikTok.

“Trump is basically misogynistic and hateful towards small men, telling them, “Your body is my choice,'' “You have no choice,'' and “I can have my child whether I like it or not.'' It gave her the ability and the courage to say, 'I'm going to give birth.' Or not,'' Tiffney Prickett, owner-operator of Voisge Salon in Coeur d'Alene, said in the video.

“The comments are so awful. The words men say to women are so awful. And I don't know why more men don't stand up for women. I don't know if they're just going to sit by and not do anything. I don't know,” the 40-year-old added.

The divorced mother of three suggested that men usually “ignore” when other men are abusing women.

“I don't understand why so many men don't have the courage to stand by the little men who think they can do whatever they want and say what they want with women. I’m tired of it,” the stylist concluded.

It didn't take long for the red-state businessman to find himself in a sticky situation with many of his regular customers.

“So this is me suffering the consequences of my own actions. A customer sent her husband into my salon to demand a refund for a pre-purchased gift card, and he was attacked by a racist, homophobic… It was because of my stance that if you support a misogynistic rapist, you're okay with those things because you supported them. They know that you actually belong to them.” she explained in a subsequent video.

“And she was so offended by it that he said he didn't feel comfortable coming to my salon anymore.”

She said there was no love lost in losing a customer of 15 years.

“I just didn't want anything to do with them, because I've known her for 15 years and I've been to her family events and family events, and I knew that the whole family was Trump supporters. She gave me gifts over the years. She was a very good customer,” Prickett said, seeming to realize the depth of her loss as she talked about her past.

“I knew she was a Republican, but I don't have a problem with you being a Republican. I have a problem with you trying to take away human rights from people,” she added.

“I will stand up for human rights and live the consequences.”

As the backlash mounted, Prickett responded by saying his opinion was “wrong” and that he was “losing business.”

“If I lose my business, if you support a racist, a misogynist, a homophobe, a rapist, and you post a video saying you’re okay with it. You guys are like that. I think I'm going to lose business,” she said. Don't be afraid.

Prickett's salon's website no longer appears to be active.

Prickett simply answered “no,” explaining that the difference between him and Trump supporters was not a difference in “opinion,” but a difference in “morality.”

Prickett revealed in a video last week that he had lost even more Trump-supporting customers, saying, “Customers just keep dropping like flies.”

Prickett stressed that he would “rather work at Chipotle” than have Trump supporters “comfortable” in his salon.

Prickett's Voiage Salon website appears to be no longer active since her rant went viral.
