MSNBC host Joy Reid said Friday on “Read Out” that former President Donald Trump would introduce “Hitler's dictatorship” if he wins in November.
“With 39 days left until Election Day, early voting and absentee voting have already begun in some states and will begin tonight,” Reid said. While they run around talking about what they call the opportunity economy and making things like housing, food, and entrepreneurship more affordable for Americans, Donald Trump is pushing other issues into the center of his campaign. That issue has been influenced by a lot of right-wing media, including Fox, lies admitted by the vice presidential candidate, the internet and social media, and conspiracy theories concocted by literal white supremacists. .”
She continued, “Donald Trump knows that he can't win an election based on the shitty job he's done as president and his frankly crazy ideas about another administration, like raising the price of everything we buy with tariffs.'' Instead, he is acting out of fear of immigrants.”
Reid added, “A majority of voters say they have more confidence in President Trump on border issues. A man who doesn't know the difference between political asylum and insane asylum plans to deport all immigrants.” The problem for America right now is Donald Trump and his MAGA. Fear, real or irrational, can be an effective political tactic. Have we reached the point where we are destroying our own economies and willingly stepping into Hitler's dictatorship because of the fear that his cronies are perpetuating solely for their own political gain? That’s it.”
