WrestleMania 42 Takes Over Las Vegas

Las Vegas has transformed into a dream destination for pro wrestling fans with WrestleMania 42 attracting a global audience. This isn’t just about WWE; various wrestling organizations will showcase events throughout the week across the city.

Picture this: college football conferences holding championship games every day from Wednesday through Sunday, leading up to a Super Bowl. That’s the kind of excitement wrestling enthusiasts can expect all week long.

West Coast Pro will host a series of matches, featuring its wrestlers competing for other promotions. Scott Bregante, the owner of West Coast Pro, shared his thoughts on what sets his organization apart. He emphasized their pride in being from the Bay Area and their commitment to displaying wrestling in its authentic form. “I think a lot of people try to reinvent the wheel,” he said. “Wrestling is beautiful as it is. It revolves around storytelling and connecting with the audience.”

Notably, Bregante mentioned that West Coast Pro has produced some of the industry’s biggest stars. Wrestlers like WWE’s Royce Keyes and Jacob Fatu began their journeys here, not to mention others who’ve made their mark in All Elite Wrestling and even internationally.

“There are many professionals from the West Coast, and they’ve made lasting impressions,” he added. “We’re just pro wrestling. We’re not about influencers or anything—just the sport itself.”

Among the notable talents from West Coast Pro is Jonny Robbie, the current World Women’s Champion. Robbie, who hails from Los Angeles, has garnered attention for her unique blend of skills and cultural background, resonating with fans deeply.

Bregante highlighted Robbie’s ability to relate to her audience as a key factor in her popularity. “It’s important. While many wrestlers connect with fans as peers, Johnny stands out as someone they aspire to,” he explained. He also pointed out that although Robbie faced a severe neck injury, her resilience has allowed her to thrive, contributing to her growing appeal.

“A lot of details matter in her journey,” he noted. “She consistently delivers remarkable matches, and I’d argue she’s among the top talent in the world today.”

West Coast Pro’s upcoming show, titled “West Coast vs. The World,” is set for Thursday, April 16th, at Bizarre Bar in Las Vegas, starting at 7 pm PT. The card features a lineup of exciting matches:

  • Johnny Robbie (c) vs. Mio Momono for the West Coast Professional Women’s Championship
