Inflation, Economy, Immigration Most Important Issue for PA Voters

Inflation, the economy and immigration — all former President Donald Trump’s special interests — are the issues most important to voters in the key battleground state of Pennsylvania, a recent Signal poll found.

investigation saw When looking at the priorities of Pennsylvania voters, inflation and the economy topped the list, with 26% overall identifying this as their top issue. Illegal immigration and border security followed, with 18% identifying this as their top issue. Another 18% identified “threats to democracy” as their top issue. Contrary to what some might think, this doesn’t necessarily bode well for President Joe Biden. A recent NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll found that independent voters are less convinced by the establishment media’s assertion that former President Trump is more of a threat to democracy than President Joe Biden. That particular poll found Fifty-three percent of independents see Biden as a greater threat to democracy.

Trump cited the Department of Justice as an example and made it clear that Biden is a threat to democracy.

“[N]”Biden is a threat to democracy,” he says. Said“He’s an absolute threat to democracy. He’s very dangerous for a number of reasons. Number one, he’s woefully incompetent. That’s the main reason. But he’s also, really, in his own way, it’s not himself, it’s the people around him. He’s surrounded himself with very bad people.”

“The people he surrounds himself with are running the Department of Justice,” Trump explained. “They’re young, they’re smart, they’re communists, they’re Marxists. They’re fascists, and they’re running this country.”

Another 10 percent of Pennsylvania voters cited abortion as their top issue, followed by Social Security and Medicare (8 percent), gun control (5 percent), health care (4 percent), national security (3 percent), climate change (3 percent), and crime and public safety (3 percent).

Notably, inflation and the economy, and illegal immigration and border security are the top two issues for independents in the Keystone State, with 28 percent and 22 percent, respectively, selecting them as the most important issues.

The survey also found that a majority of Pennsylvania voters (76.7%) are “highly” interested in the election, and most (69%) say the country is heading in the “wrong direction.”

Furthermore, opinion polls Indicated Trump leads Biden by 4 points in head-to-head races, with 48% approval rating compared to Biden’s 44%. He also leads Biden by 7 points among swing voters and 15 points among independents. In races that include third-party candidates, Trump leads Biden by 4 points.
