US and Israeli Forces Conduct Attacks on Iran
On Saturday morning, the US military, in collaboration with Israeli forces, initiated attacks against Iran, which in response launched a series of heavy missile strikes targeting Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Kuwait.
In a statement made Friday night, President Donald Trump described the military operations as “Operation Epic Fury.” He emphasized that the Israeli Air Force would actively engage threats to safeguard its interests.
Trump asserted, “The U.S. military is conducting a significant, continuous operation aimed at thwarting this extremist regime that poses a danger to our national security. Our objective is clear: we will dismantle their missile capabilities and eradicate their missile production for good.”
Sirens were activated across Israel as reports emerged of missiles launched from Iran, but some accounts suggested that the missile strikes went unnoticed initially.
“Shortly ago, sirens blared in various regions after confirmation of missiles being fired from Iran towards Israel,” stated an Israeli official. “Currently, the Israeli Air Force is executing operations to intercept these threats.”
In an urgent response, the Bahrain Ministry of Interior announced evacuations from certain areas, including Juffair.
The UAE condemned Iran’s aggression, asserting that its sovereignty was violated and declared its right to retaliate.
Additionally, Iran targeted Al Udeid Air Base located in Doha, Qatar, prompting calls for condemnation of the assault.
Loud explosions were reported near a U.S. military installation in Kuwait, and significant blasts echoed in Saudi Arabia’s capital, Riyadh.
Reports indicated that Iranian governmental facilities, including the parliament and Atomic Energy Authority, were among the targets of the U.S.-Israeli operations, according to news sources.
Russia has demanded an immediate cessation of hostilities against Iran and instructed all Russian citizens to leave Israel.
In a speech addressing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Trump warned, “You must surrender your arms and seek immunity, or face inevitable consequences.”
The Iranian regime is under pressure from internal protests against its authoritarian rule. Some estimates suggest that tens of thousands have died as a result of violent crackdowns on dissent.
Trump had previously cautioned Iran against harming protesters, indicating a commitment to intervene if necessary. It seems that commitment has now been acted upon.
