In corrupt governments like ours, it can sometimes seem like the “good guys” never win and the “bad guys” always escape unscathed.
However, there is a silver lining.
When IRS investigator-turned-whistleblower Gary Shapley accused the IRS of covering up Hunter Biden's tax crimes, he was initially “vilified and really devastated.” But now things have turned around and Shapley is suing Hunter's lawyer, Abby Rowell, for $20 million.
The damages will be $10 million to Shapley for defamation and $10 million to whistleblower Joseph Zigler.
“The complaint alleges that Mr. Lowell defamed us and attacked Joe Ziegler and me for coming forward, following the law, going to Congress and exposing the preferential treatment his client was receiving from the department. They allege that it was part of a smear campaign, the judiciary, the FBI, the IRS,” Shapley said. glenn beck “The Glenn Beck Program”.
Tristan Leavitt, president of the Oversight Group, which works to protect whistleblowers, tells Glenn that he has just testified before the Arms Commission.
“I've had three FBI clients in the past,” Levitt tells Glenn. “It's very common for whistleblowers to be lied to or slandered. That's one of the reasons why we're so serious about creating consequences for that.”
“We are supporting and funding this lawsuit that Gary and Joe are bringing against Abby Lowell,” Levitt continued. “If people just lie with impunity, it never makes any difference. They just get away with it, so we want to fight back.”
