Israeli media said Sunday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government has begun secret talks with the Russian government to end the ongoing war between Israel and Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon.
Although Hezbollah is armed and funded by Iran, the terrorist group uses many Russian-made weapons. Furthermore, Russia relies on Iran for drones in the ongoing war in Ukraine and is believed to have some influence over the Iranian regime.
era of israel reportedciting Israeli news agency Ynet:
Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer made a secret visit to Russia last week, Army Radio reported on Sunday, in what appears to be part of Israel's efforts to reach a ceasefire in Lebanon fighting the terrorist group Hezbollah.

Dahmer then flew to Washington on Saturday night to meet with U.S. officials, Ynet outlet reported.
Russia is a major player in Syria, and its cooperation in a diplomatic deal to end fighting between Israel and Hezbollah is part of a key deal to stop the Iranian-backed group from rearming. There is a possibility that it will happen.
Donald Trump's election on Tuesday may have spurred Israeli-Russian talks. President Trump has promised a return to diplomacy between the United States and Russia, and also promised to end the ongoing war in Lebanon started by Hezbollah.
Trump's victory was accompanied by a declaration that Qatar would expel Hamas terrorist leaders from the country. It may not have been directly caused by President Trump's victory, but it may have accelerated it.
It was also available on Y-net. reported A Russian delegation arrived in Israel in late October, presumably for talks over the war.
