Israel delays release of over 600 Palestinian prisoners after hostages freed

Israel delayed the release of more than 600 Palestinian prisoners on Saturday after six hostages were released that afternoon.

Military vehicles that normally travel before buses carrying prisoners reported that they would leave the prison gates open before turning around and returning.

in statement Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel would “delay the release of the terrorists planned yesterday until the release of the next hostage is guaranteed, and without humiliating rituals.”

The release of the prisoners was scheduled to come shortly after the hostages were released in the first phase of the ceasefire agreement, as the largest one-day release of Palestinian prisoners.

It was also planned to be the final handover of the living hostages during the first phase of the contract. Another handover, including the bodies of four hostages who died as prisoners, will take place in the first phase. Negotiations for the second phase of the ceasefire have not yet been made; The BBC reported.

In a statement, Netanyahu accused Hamas of “repeated violations,” citing “the ironic exploitation of hostages for the purposes of rituals and propaganda that humiliates our hostages.”

Five of the six hostages released by Hamas on Saturday were escorted by masked armed extremists in front of crowds at an exhibition that the United Nations and the Red Cross described as cruel in the past.

In one staged ceremony, Omer Wenkart, Omer Shem Tov and Elijah Cohen (who was not a soldier when he was accused) poses in fake military uniforms along with Hamas members. I took it. Acting under obsession, Shem Tov kissed two militants on the head and kissed the crowd, the Associated Press reported.

Hamas also released a video showing two other hostages still being captured, watching a handover in Gaza and speaking under obsession.

Hamas spokesman Abdel Latif Al-Kanou accused Israel of breaching the ceasefire contract, saying Netanyahu “deliberately stalled.”

It also happens after Hamas released the wrong body on Thursday due to the hostage silivivas, whose two young sons were accused of. Hamas said it was a mistake and handed the correct body on Friday, but Netanyahu vowed revenge for the harsh mistake, stating it was a “cruel and malicious offence.”
