The Israeli military said a long-range missile fired from Yemen struck central Israel early on Sunday.
The attack triggered air raid sirens in the area and local media published pictures of what appeared to be a missile or fragments of an interceptor hitting the train station in the central city of Modi'in.
There were no reports of casualties or damage caused by the missile, but authorities confirmed fires had broken out in rural areas.
In addition to the Yemeni attacks, the Israeli military said about 40 projectiles were fired from Lebanon early Sunday. Some were intercepted but others fell in open areas, the military said.

No one immediately claimed responsibility for Sunday's missile attack from Yemen.
Local media reported hearing an explosion caused by a missile, but the Israeli military later said the sound was coming from an interceptor missile.
Since the terrorist group Hamas launched attacks on Israel on October 7, starting the war between Israel and the Gaza Strip, Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels have repeatedly fired drones and missiles at Israel.
Nearly all attacks were thwarted over the Red Sea.

Nearly a year into the Israel-Hamas war, Iranian and Hamas-funded terror groups have attacked Israeli and US targets, leading to retaliatory strikes by Israel and its Western allies.

Iran supports terrorist groups across the region, including Hamas, the Houthis and Lebanon's Hezbollah, which have engaged in near-daily gun battles with Israel since the war in Gaza began more than 11 months ago. Iran and its allies say their actions show solidarity with the Palestinians.
In July, an Iranian-made drone launched by the Houthis struck Tel Aviv, killing one and wounding 10. Israel retaliated by launching a series of airstrikes on Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen.
The Houthis have also repeatedly attacked merchant ships in the Red Sea, claiming that the Israeli blockade is in support of the Palestinians, although most of the vessels they have targeted have no connection to Israel.
